I am a relational psychotherapist that practices using a relational psychoanalytic psychotherapy lens. What this looks like is that while addressing what’s in the here and now, we will also consider and explore unconscious assumptions that are operating just below the surface. The people who tend to be a “good fit” with how I work are often curious about how certain experiences, internalized beliefs and modes of relating, though at one time likely necessary and adaptive, may be creating some “rubs” in the current moment.

My approach is warm, curious, interactive, and pragmatic. I believe that therapy is most useful in the context of feeling real care and support within the parameters of a therapeutic relationship. How I can offer this means that while listening and following you, you may also get the experience of me “nudging,” which means confronting, wanting further clarification or addressing how to hold certain elements for yourself. Together, we would attend to these dynamics openly and with care. Having this experience of acceptance of all that you bring, can be creatively generative, lead you to unexpected solutions and expansive ways of being.

Perhaps you would like to find a space where the whole complexity of you and your experience can be understood and explored. Perhaps you have felt challenged to step into your life, uncertain of how to make moves that feel embodied or reflective of you— maybe you don’t even have a good sense of who you are in the moment due to transitions, difficulties, loss— my practice services people like you. I can offer something useful to you as you embark on this endeavor.
